Anax is a simple but powerful tool for navigation.
It is trying to leave out some bells and whistles and tries to keep things lean and simple while still preserving some handy features.
Current features include:
- Browse OpenStreetMap online, it will be partly cached in order to save bandwidth and offer some offline functionality to a certain extend
- Load GPX routes from a file
- Record routes as GPX
- Create new routes
- Modify routes
- Export routes as GPX

This is the second iteration and replaces the previous Android-only-mobile version. This one runs purely in your Chrome-browser, also on mobile devices, and might work with other browsers, or not.
It was intended to quickly record a gps track while riding off-road. When you are done with the part of track recorded you click the finnish symbol. Two smileys appear - depending on how fun the track was you choose one of the smileys. After that you are presented with a short dialog where you can comment on the track. For me the policeman indicates that the track is almost legal. The text balloon allows to enter your own comment but this will disappear after a while. My intention was to let the user customize the icons to differentiate between different levels of fun. And to allow you to create your own feedback shortcuts as I did with the policeman.
But instead of recording my motorcycle trips I see myself use it mostly to plot routes for running or hiking and navigating trails in advance.
An issue I have still with this specific version is that you cannot record a track while the app runs in the background, this used to work very well on the pure-android version
